Becky is a part-time accountant
with 30 years experience. She has worked here for six years and is responsible
for paying the bills, contracts, and financial statements. Becky received
her B.S. in accounting from Ohio Northern University in 1974.

Baldwin, CMA
Certified Medical Assistant
Wendy's clinical and office skills are an important contribution to the Outreach
Department. She assists in gathering and maintaining screening data. Wendy
has 10 years of experience in the medical field.

Executive Assistant
As Executive Assistant, Karen provides
confidential administrative support to the President and CEO, Corporate Board
of Trustees, and Associates, to insure the Administrative Offices are run
effectively. She is also responsible for all HR functions at CPI.

Ann
M. Biedenharn, RN, BSN
Screening Nurse
Ann Biedenharn,
Screening Nurse, is responsible for all aspects of the Colorectal, Prostate
and Skin Cancer screenings. She has a strong commitment to provide both timely
and thorough case management for all suspicious and abnormal findings. Ms.
Biedenharn has over 14 years of nursing experience, seven of which were focused
on community health.

Cynthia
J. Bruggeman, LSW
Outreach Coordinator/ BCCP
Cindy is a Licensed Social Worker
with the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Project. Cindy's responsibilities
include presenting health education programs relating to breast and cervical
cancer, coordinating outreach activities for the BCCP and direct patient case
management. Cindy has twenty years of experience as a medical social worker
and received a bachelor degree in social work from Bowling Green State University.

F. Cappel
Financial Analyst
Mr. Cappel has 45 years of financial and accounting experience. He is a licensed
CPA with a BS in Accounting and a MBA in Statistical Economics.

Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Downard is responsible for
Finance and Administration. He has over 30 years experience in the finance
field.
Education: BS in Business Quantitative Analysis. MBA with concentration in
Finance.
Tim
L. Glaze
Manager, Information Technology
Tim is responsible for all aspects
of Information Technology and Telecommunications for Cancer Prevention Institute
by assuring the availability, continuity, and security of data and information
technology services. He has more than 21 years experience in information and
communications systems gained through employment in the private sector with
General Motors Corporation and Electronic Data Systems. Mr. Glaze holds a
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical
Engineering.
Ondrea
Hall
Manager, Marketing and Public Relations
As Manager of Marketing and Public
Relations, Ondrea is responsible for all aspects of marketing and communications
for the Cancer Prevention Institute. She creates all advertising, public relations,
marketing development including the production of all in-house promotional
pieces and the CPI website. Ondrea is a 12-year veteran in her field.
Education: B.A. in Fine Art, Montserrat College of Art, Beverly, Massachusetts
Kathryn
Haught, RN, BSN
Project Manager / BCCP
Kathy is responsible
for management of The Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Project,
which includes budget, quarterly financial reports, bi-yearly status reports,
yearly grant reapplication and management of staff personnel. She is also
responsible for case management of clients, which includes authorization for
bill payment, reporting results to the state, and follow-up with clients who
have abnormal results.
Kathy received her Associate degree in Nursing from Sinclair Community College
and her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Miami University in Oxford.
Teresa
D. Hill, PhD
Epidemiologist, Research Scientist
Dr. Hill, an Epidemiolgist,
conducts research in cancer prevention and control with a focus on colorectal
cancer screening. She is Assistant Professor in the Department of Community
Health at Wright State University. Dr. Hill received a B.S. from Denison University
in 1993 and a Ph.D. in Epidemology from the University of Cincinnati College
of Medicine in 1998.
Amera
McCormick
Outreach Program Assistant
Amera is responsible for providing
clerical support and program assistance to the staff of the Outreach Division.
She screens participants for program eligibility, maintains medical filing
system and records as well as the database of patient data. Amera schedules
participants for screening tests and assist participants with completion of
forms. She has been with the Cancer Prevention Institute for one year. College
Education - Kettering College of Medical Arts.
Diane
Mehling, RN, CCRC
Manager, Outreach Division
Diane is responsible for all activities
of the Outreach Division, which includes screening, community education, and
health agency collaboration. She has extensive experience in most aspects
of nursing, as well as clinical practice management and clinical research
project management.
Sharon
Sikkenga
Data Specialist - Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program
Sharon provides
clerical support for the BCCP program. She regularly schedules participants
for screening tests and maintains appropriate scheduling records and documentation.
She also enters patient data in the client database and files participant
records while compiling with a strict confidentiality policy.

V.P. Development
Barbra has been with the Cancer
Prevention Institute for over two years. As the Vice President of Development,
Barbra is responsible for fundraising and marketing including; special events,
planned giving and generating individual and corporate support.

Taylor, RT, (R.M.)
Mammography
Technician
Graduate of Ohio State University.
Received certification with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
in Mammography in 1990. She has been involved in mammography since then, performing
screening mammograms, ultra sounds, and all aspects of diagnostic mammography
with a total of 2200 procedures in mammography in 2003.
Jerzy
E. Tyczynski, PhD
Epidemiologist, Research Scientist
Jerzy E. Tyczynski is a researcher
mainly interested in the epidemiology and prevention of lung and breast cancers.
He performs descriptive epidemiologic studies on time trends of cancer incidence
and mortality, as well as analytical and intervention studies. He is also
interested in tobacco control and cancer screening. Jerzy received his M.Sc.
degree in demography and statistics at the University of Warsaw in 1983, and
his Ph.D. in epidemiology at The Maria Sklodowska-Curie Memorial Cancer Center
in Warsaw, Poland in 1991.
Before joining the Cancer Prevention Institute, he worked at The Maria Sklodowska-Curie
Memorial Cancer Center in Warsaw, Poland (1985-2001) and at the International
Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon, France (2001-2004).

Warha
Research Assistant
Diane maintains a long list of
varied responsibilities which support the many aspects of epidemiological
research studies conducted by the research scientists at the Cancer Prevention
Institute.

Tonia
Wheeler
Development Specialist
Tonia is a 2002 graduate of Wittenberg
University with a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership. She joined
the Cancer Prevention institute in August, 2004. As a Development Specialist,
Tonia works as an integral part of the Development team and entire staff of
CPI. She assists with planning and managing special events, securing sponsorships
and underwriting for CPI and manages donor and volunteer information. Tonia
manages volunteers and works with CPI staff to develop volunteer resources
in order to accomplish fundraising event goals and objectives.

Assistant
Ms. Wilcox is Cancer
Prevention Institute's front desk receptionist. She is responsible for the
switchboard, office supply ordering, receiving, mailing & shipping, and
donor database maintenance.

Community Health Educator
Teri Wilson,
Community Health Educator, has been with Cancer Prevention Institute
since 2001. She has worked with diverse populations in a variety of settings
ranging from healthcare workers and worksites to community health education
programs. Her areas of expertise include tobacco cessation and healthy lifestyle
choices (exercise and nutrition).

Jianjun
Zhang, MD, PhD
Epidemiologist, Research Scientist
Jianjun is a Research Scientist
at the Cancer Prevention Institute and Assistant Professor at Department of
Community Health, Wright State University School of Medicine. His current
research interest is nutritional and molecular epidemiology of cancer with
an emphasis on nutrient-gene interactions. Dr. Zhang earned his MD and MS
(Orthopedics) from Xi'an Medical University, China and PhD (Epidemiology)
from Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.
